Me and Dad at Australia

Me and Dad went to Australia and we saw tigers, giraffes and the crocodile, so dad put me
In the crocodile’s mouth.  On the way back we fed the giraffes and the tigers. We went back to the aeroplane.

Our Dot Day

Putorino

Putorino is a small village between Napier and Wairoa. There is a school with only 10 children in it. Putorino is a very hilly part of the country.
98 years ago this school was built and in 2016 we will be celebrating our 100 year anniversary.  All the children that go there are amazing including the teacher. We have a swimming pool that is on the field.
Putorino is the Maori name for flute.
On the side of the school there areMaori patterns.  The school is green and blue all over.  We have kereru and tui out in our trees. In the corner of the grounds there is a white turkey.

Playground

We have an adventure playground and a tennis court. We have 10 students.

We have milk and story time.
 We have 2 iPads.

The school has a garden with corn, pumpkin, cabbage and silver beet.

In the classroom we sit on the 4 beanbags, blue, green, brown and orange. There are 10 pillows as well, for us to sit on.

Cabbage Trees

We have   lots of trees. They keep the sun off you. Cabbage trees are native to New Zealand.

Our school is very small it only has a pool, an adventure playground and a garden. There is lots of farmland and hills. There is a fire station, a complex and a pub where buses stop in. Every year the community has competitions like the Waikare Challenge where we run, bike, swim and kayak.
This is the Sports Complex.

The Fishing Competition at the beach and the Speech Competition for local schools also happens at the Complex.

Chickens

The chickens live next door and they come to school to visit us lots and our teacher gets me to chase them back to her place.
