Seeds grow fast

Today we checked our seeds. They were all dried up like a prune. Miss Wallace kept watering them but all the water just vanished. My seeds are water cress. There were tiny, tiny seeds that are carrots. We are just germinating them so in the future they will become a big bush of water cress.

Skiing

In Taupo I went skiing and my teacher was Emily. We went to Happy Valley and Rocky Garden. In Rocky Garden there is a lot of jumps. My lessons was for two hours. On my last day in Rocky Garden I did a jump and landed on the hard ice, I had to get looked at by a doctor.

My favourite eggs

I like my eggs boiled, poached, especially scrambled and my mums super fried eggs. I like my boiled eggs because we can dip toast in the egg. Poached eggs are fat the colour is skin colour. Scrambled eggs looked like mince but it was yellow.

How I Like My Eggs

I like my eggs boiled because they don't make a mess and they don't make my toast soggy. I like them just on the plate with no egg-cup. They are not sticky.

Seeds that Germinate

It’s two o’clock in the afternoon and we finished looking at our germinated seed. Not all seeds germinated, one of mine did. Next week we will repeat this experiment, but water them every day.

Germinating Carrot Seeds

My seeds have started to germinate after four days because there are little spikes poking out.

Germinating Seeds

Over the weekend we left the seeds to germinate. The seeds were very dry so during the weekend Miss Wallace came and watered them. I am growing carrot seeds. Only two of my seeds germinated and have grown little roots. There are probably more seeds with roots but my eyes aren’t good enough to see them. In the future (next week) we will get new seeds and water them every day for 4 days and hope they have bigger roots.

The Blossom Tree

On the Blossom Tree there are lots of pink flowers. There are honey bees too. I think the Blossom Tree is beautiful.

My Favourite Cherry Tree!

When I wake up, I look out my window and see my favourite cherry tree. Yesterday I saw that there was one flower on my favourite tree. I opened my curtains today and I could not believe my eyes. There was more than one flower, now I’ve lost count. Where my Nanny and Poppa used to live there was a cherry tree just like the one I’m taking about.

Docking

In the holidays I helped Dad, Jacob, Warwick, Matthew, Jessica and Courtenay dock. I picked up lambs as well. Dad had to take the drys out of the mob so the drys don’t take the other lambs from their mothers.

Card Castles

This morning before class I built a card castle out of the jumbo cards. It took me ages because the kids were moving around so I built it over and over, but eventually I built it!

Blossom Tree

On the blossom tree we have lots of bees that suck the pollen.

Blossom Trees

At our school, we have lots of blossom trees. They are beautiful. We take pictures by them to put on our blog. One of them has light pink flowers and the other one has dark pink flowers, they only blossom in spring. They have lots of bees on them.
